Taxi :
Tenerife Airport Taxis have a rank just outside the main arrival/departure terminal. These are well organised – queue jumping is not allowed and it is not necessary to pre-book as there are always plenty available. If your party is more than 4 people, including children, speak to the taxi controller (he will be directing the line of cabs) and is usually wearing a hi viz vest. He can organise a larger vehicle for you, these are kept on site so will arrive within a couple of minutes of the call.
Most of the Taxi drivers are honest and provide a good level of service at a fair price, you can be sure that they are Official licensed taxis by the green light they display on the roof or the window and on the rear bumper they should be showing a small plate with the initials SP. There are also several reduced mobility accessible taxis on the island. These vehicles have ramp access to allow people to travel in their own wheelchairs. Fares are divided into two price bands Fare 1 (from 06:00 to 22:00, weekdays) and Fare 2 (from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am and all day holidays).
